Summer cleanin'

I love summer. My favorite season is fall, but, summer is a close second. All the outdoor activities that well, up here we just don't do as much. The longer days, warmer nights, and all the fresh fruits and vegetables and flowers!!! But with all of that comes some work.

Thanks to my dad who let us borrow his pressure washer, I got to get a little dirty. But I didn't mind. The pressure washer is just like the blower to me. I LOVE IT! Just wish there was something like that for inside the house...only it put everything where it belongs. And on some of those hotter days this past month I just broke it out and power washed whatever was in my way because the mist would keep me cool. (And I didn't feel so bad about not doing the million other things that needed to get done because after all, I was "washing").

But afterwards we get to sit out on the nice clean little patio.

Fourth of July

I know, it has been a while. Time has gotten away from me. This fourth of July was a fun one. We went over to some new friends house for some slip-n-slide, trampoline, and BBQ fun! It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of people that we didn't know. That was good for us to branch out. Thank you Bird Family!

The girls LOVED the slip-n-slide. They had attached the hose to one of those plastic kiddie slide toy, which landed onto a store bought slip-n-slide with the water that came on the side, which was attached to a big tarp (yeah...I know, we live in Olalla ok?). I think the girls liked that more than the trampoline or bouncy house.

Then we headed on over to mom's to watch the fireworks on the water. Reese was ok with it all. Rowyn on the other hand....still doesn't like the loud noises. She stayed inside most of the night watching from the windows. (sorry about the picture...I don't know how to rotate pictures on here.)
