Gardening

We finally had some good weather and time to work out in the garden this past week.
I am very excited about growing a lot of our own fruits and vegetables this year. Hopefully we will have good weather to support it!
(Yes, that is another rototiller in the back ground...ours. A nice man Ben has done some work for let us borrow his while ours is needing some repair.)

I love it that my girls LOVE being outside. Everyday that is what they want to do. Rowyn even got excited about the garden and said after we put the seeds in the ground we can sprinkle dust like Tinkerbell and then the plants will grow.
(All of those dandelions are actually my strawberries...some of them are now weeded).

This is my favorite. A hot day, working in the yard, and taking a break in the shade.

SWEETNESS!!!

As I am sitting here the girls are coloring on their chalk board. Rowyn says, "Momma just look at what I did." I get up and look. "Rowyn that is beautiful, I love how you used all the different colors." "Momma, that's just what God does?" "Yes honey," I say with a smile, "that is just what God does."

It was sunny for a few days straight so the girls wanted to break out the "broquet" (as Rowyn calls it). We had fun. The next afternoon I told the girls let's go outside and play croquet and eat a popsicle. Rowyn says, "Momma I just love papasicles." Reese comes over to me, "Momma, I escited!" So simple and so sweet.

Easter 2009

Happy Easter!!

Easter was a great time for us this year. Papa took the girls shopping and bought them the dress of their choice. We had been explaining to the kids for a couple weeks what Easter really is about. Christ rising. Saturday unfortunately Ben had to work (when you got it, you got it.) Us girls got to go see 36 people be baptized. How awesome it was! We got home and I got to go for one of my runs with Mrs. Byrd. She brought over resurrection eggs for my kids to look at while we were running. Very neat eggs. Each egg holds an item that relates to the story of Jesus Christ. You open the egg and get to talk about each thing in it.

Reese was up first, so she found the first eggs. The first thing she says is, "Momma, Mrs. Boyd (Byrd) fogot her eggs. I go put dem in de office." So sweet.

They got to look all over the living room for eggs...some day it will not be raining on Easter.

Rowyn got a cross ring in her basket.

Reese got a cross necklace.

They each also got a purse with chap stick and bracelets.

We got to eat lunch over at Papa's house. Aunt Lisa gave us peeps with chocolate on them. That resulted in us taking our dresses off!!

We also got to go play with our cousins and family on the other side! We then finished with Going to newlife and dinner after with family. What a fun day!

Goin' for a walk

The CheeriO girls got to go for a walk down in the Harbor with Aunt Lisa tonight.
I have two pretty sweet girls who like to love on each other...and I love that.

Throwin' the ball around

Rowyn got new softball equipment for her birthday recently. She loves it. Her favorite is her helmet.
Ben is a great coach. (And is even ok with the pink glove).

So good Rowyn has even hit the ball more than a few times!

It all starts with a great stance.

And ends with a great smile!!
